So… What’s for breakfast?
An Arcadian breakfast gets away from the cholesterol-laden “fry up”. The accent is on vivid, fresh flavours using our own homegrown fruits and vegetables as well as the best locally grown produce available: organic, spray free and free-range whenever we can. We are very lucky in Northland to be able to find real local great produce.
We make our own toasted home-made muesli as well as jams and jellies using the grapefruit, lemons, limes, plums and feijoas in our garden. Our breads are mostly organic from a local German baker and we also offer organic teas and coffees sourced locally.
Our cooked café style breakfast changes daily with the seasons. It could be our corn hotcake stack with crispy bacon & crushed avocado, or roasted kumara frittata with a pork & fennel Sausage. Other creations might be slow roasted tomatoes on herbed ricotta bruschetta with basil microgreens or the very fluffy orange ricotta pancakes with berries & yoghurt.
